sms terms & consent
open sign is operated by Alex Kammerer, a sole proprietor based in Little Rock, Arkansas, doing business as open sign. this page explains the text messages we send to the business owners who use our service, how you consent to them, and how to stop them at any time.
what you're opting into
open sign is a paid service that manages your business's digital presence: we draft and publish your social posts, update your business pages, and answer questions about them, all over text. once you're a client, the messages we send you are:
- secure links to upload the photos for a post you asked us to make.
- previews of a post for you to approve by replying YES, change, or discard.
- confirmations when a post goes live, with the early numbers the next day.
- an optional weekly check-in asking if there's anything to add to your page.
how you opt in
you opt in to these messages when you sign up for the open sign service. during onboarding you provide your mobile number and agree, in your signed service agreement, to receive the service text messages described above. we do not run a keyword or short-code sign-up. only owners who have signed up for the service receive messages, and only on the number they gave us.
message frequency
message frequency varies and depends on your own activity, since most messages are replies to a request you sent us. the recurring weekly check-in is sent at most once per week, and only if you've opted in to it.
rates
message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan and carrier. open sign does not charge you for the text messages themselves.
how to get help or stop
- HELP: reply HELP to any message, or email [email protected], and we'll help you.
- STOP: reply STOP to any message to opt out. you can reply START at any time to opt back in. opting out of the weekly check-in does not cancel your service; for that, email us.
your privacy
no mobile information or sms opt-in data is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. we use Twilio to deliver messages on our behalf as a service provider; that is the only sharing of message data, and it is solely to operate the service for you. the full detail is in our privacy policy, and the terms of the service are in our terms of service.
